A charger’s rating is a ceiling, not a promise. A 350 kW cabinet rarely delivers 350 kW for more than a few minutes, because the battery tapers its own current to avoid damage and because cabinets share power between stalls. The gap between the advertised number and the delivered one is the running theme of this section.

Around that sit the questions that decide whether a network is usable at all: reliability, payment, connector standards, and whether the grid connection behind the forecourt can supply what the plugs promise.
